Under The Radar Events, currently, stand as the UK’s leading 16+ lifestyle brand specialising in forward thinking events for the youth market and their Halloween Special in association with Rinse 106.8 FM offered just that.
With the event at maximum capacity and teenagers heavily intoxicated with Coke-Cola, Red Bull and many other sugar based drinks (as the event offered no alcohol), it was nice to see an honest, sober, reaction to the performances of some of the best artists within the industry.
As many were still outside, due to heavy delays in the queues, it was Ms Dynamite that encouraged the crowds to begin their fist-pumping and topless raving, as the RC1 Soundsystem continued to deafen the entire neighbourhood. With her club classic favourites, ‘Wile Out’ and ‘What You Talking About’, providing the perfect remedy for the forthcoming set by Skream and Sgt. Pokes.
Renaissance Rooms, occupied by the RC1 Soundsystem and the Ataata Visuals, was the perfect host for one of dubstep’s most prominent producers. His musical precision demonstrated perfectly with each mix, as the crowd got more receptive to the bass heavy, chart topping, tracks, and Sgt. Pokes’ chants.
However, it was apparent that a strong proportion of the attendees were there to witness the South London Grime MC, P-Money. Following on from successive tours with Example, Wretch 32 and DJ Alvin Risk, it comes as no surprise to witness his constant development and ever-expanding, loyal, fan base. Notable for his presence within the dubstep scene, P-Money delivered a solid flow throughout his set and providing every clubber that perfect ingredient for their night – a vibrant atmosphere.
With strong crowd monitoring, the alcohol and drug prevention allowed parents and clubbers alike to not worry about any serious consequences to the attendees and just encourage a more explosive, party-focussed, tone. Halloween Special was the perfect offering for the London youth market of today and with a consistent progression and expansion, be sure to check out Under The Radar’s future events.
