James Vincent McMorrow Unveils New Track (Free Download)

Following the acclaimed second album ‘Post Tropical’, this new track entitled ‘When I Leave’ breaks the massive anticipation surrounding new material from James V McMorrow…

Since its release at the beginning of the year, ‘Post Tropical’ has gone on to be made Album Of The Week at Radio 1 and 6 Music, as well pushing James through a sold out European tour and plenty of impressive festival appearances, including Latitude and Coachella.

When I Leave’ sees James follow up from ‘Post Tropical’ a lot more rapidly than he did with his début ‘Early In The Morning’, keeping the momentum high. This initial taster of what’s to come sees James open up a bit more to his early inspirations of hip-hop, sometimes we’ve only been very slightly presented with on ‘Post Tropical’.

“When I was in college, I’d go out a lot, but I wasn’t the guy that was the centre of everyone’s attention. But just because you’re standing in the corner, it doesn’t mean that you don’t love to dance. That’s what ‘When I Leave’ is about, I guess – dance like no one’s watching.”
