Confirmation That Oxegen 2014 Is Cancelled

Oxegen – Ireland’s biggest “Rock” festival – is cancelled this year as MCD confirm lack of headline acts and major financial demands…

Frankly on the down slope for a few years now, Oxegen has diminished from a rock festival to a bit of a leftovers festival, in that they take the acts the likes of Indiependence and Electric Picnic didn’t grab first.

“It is no longer viable to stage Oxegen in its current form”

Having been staged in 2012, the festival ran again last year, delivering a line-up emphasising dance acts such as David Guetta and Snoop Dogg.

Is this the definitive end of Punchestown’s Oxegen?
