Fashion Launchbox: Hunger Club Clothing ” I’d like to collaborate with David Bowie , I’ve always admired his sense of fashion and his music I think he could bring something unique to our range.”

Hunger Club is an emerging clothing company based in the UK. Hunger Club is Jordan  & Liane their illustrations are inspired from a mix of 50’s horror comics and early skateboard graphics.

Hunger Club offers a unique range of apparel and art including zines, stickers and limited edition screen prints. We caught up with them to see what they are about.

So guys, how did Hunger Club start?

Jordan : Hunger Club is something we have always talked about, We both have a design background and though we could put it to use. In summer we sat around and came up with some imagery and it all clicked

You’ve got a really unique style, what inspired it?

Liane: Our illustration is inspired by a mix of 50s horror comics and early skateboard graphics by artists such as Jim Phillips. We were both bought up in a small town where it was all about skateboarding.

Are you guys going to branch out in to any other kind of clothing like shoes?

Jordan : We will be releasing screen prints and more artwork such as zines. We also have a range of sweats and hats planned to be released before Christmas.

If Hunger Club had the chance to collaborate with any celebrity who would you choose?

Liane :I’d like to collaborate with Jay Howell, and make some cartoons. Big fan of his work, we’d persuade him to get Sanjay and Craig in some Hunger Club garms. Craig has good style.

Jordan : I’d like to collaborate with David Bowie , I’ve always admired his sense of fashion and his music I think he could bring something unique to our range.
