Single review: Nick Wilson ‘Get Up’

Ethereal artist Nick Wilson seems to have concocted the perfect formula for creating celestial electro-pop and we can’t get enough!

His latest single ‘Get Up’ fuses together glitchy electronica with pop ballad-esque melodies to make a sound akin to the likes of Kevin Garratt or Aquilo, but with Wilson’s own unique twist. His mesmerising falsetto takes centre stage throughout, sending shivers down your spine as it does so. This artist is most definitely one to watch. Of the track, Wilson expands: “I guess it acts as an inspirational kick up the back side. It’s so easy to dwell and stay stuck in a feeling of helplessness, but it’s almost always easier than you think to dig yourself out of that hole, you just have to try.” Deep stuff.

‘Get Up’ is out on now via AWAL (Kobalt).
