Single Review: Leisure Tank – Higher

Having already gained support from sites such as Punktastic and Get In Her Ears, indie-rock powerhouse Leisure Tank have now released their electric new single, ‘Higher’.

The track is brimming with palpitating drum beats and soaring guitar riffs, resulting in a compelling and off beat piece of alt-rock. Throw in K.C McKanzie’s distinctive vocals and the track is taken to a whole new level. The song is about the twisted feeling one gets when someone tells a one sided, self-pitying break up story. ‘Higher’ successfully showcases the duo’s ability to create something minimalistic yet full of dynamic sounds.

They’ve already graced the stages of Camp Bestival, Mellow Festival and Borderline London to name but a few and show no signs of slowing down any time soon. Watch this space, Leisure Tank could just become your new favourite alt-rock band.

‘Higher’ is out now.
